Italian VHF DVBT channels are wrong!

Post by Cluster.One » Fri Aug 23, 2019 3:05 pm

Choosing Italy as the country of operation and starting the automatic search, the decoder does not tune some channels that broadcast in VHF here in Rome...

RAI 1 on VHF CH 9 205.500 MHz

Europa 7 on VHF CH 8 198,500 MHz

You can check here the channels that broadcast in Rome: http://www.otgtv.it/lista.php?code=RMAA&posto=Roma
The channels are not tuned because the Italy channel list of Hellobox 8 it's wrong!

the italian VHF channell of Hellobox 8 are the old Italian and they are no longer used!

Since 2009, Italy has replaced its own channels and frequencies with European ones, old channels are no longer used !
http://otgtv.it/wordpress/varie/i-canali/ (column CB) The values of the frequencies are expressed in MHz. The channels with the asterisk (*) are not currently used in Italy for the regular diffusion by air.

http://www.associazionemarconi.com/rds/tabelle2.htm last column on the right, Digitale Terrestre (DVB-T)
on page 10 (8 of 172) of this catalog http://35.195.138.199/wp-content/upload ... tv_154.pdf you can see the list of frequencies in use in Italy, you have to look at central frequency
here another list: https://www.flapane.com/digitale_terres ... quenze.php

The right VHF channels for Italy are these:

CH E5 - 177.500 MHz
CH E6 - 184.500 MHz
CH E7 - 191.500 MHz
CH E8 - 198.500 MHz
CH E9 - 205.500 MHz
CH E10 - 212.500 MHz
CH E11 - 219.500 MHZ
CH E12 - 226.500 MHz

All 7 MHz bandwidth

(The same of Germany)

UHF channel are Ok.

there are other important bugs in the firmware that I will report in other discussions

best regards
