Hellobox 8 - Great Hardware - Useless Software

Post by spencer26 » Sun Aug 25, 2019 4:36 am

I am going back to the Dreambox.
It appears from the history of Helobox that the software guys are totally incompetent.
They have never got any of their boxes correct. Just read the other forums.
The hardware is great but the software team are at Highschool Level.
Totally unprofessional.
This is my last post as my frustration is unbearable.
I am 70 years old and have worked with great software teams all my life.
I am still working with a software team in the Cheq Republic and getting amazing results.
Thank you for reading my posts.

I just searched Google Images and just picked menus that had the information I wanted to see.
So I dont really know. It will be a Dreambox image I think.
There are hundreds of single guys writing Dreambox images and getting them correct.
Why can't a Chinese software team get it happening without errors.

The More Info on the EPG is very washed out and hard to read.

Well, then the other alternative may be, making the Hellobox software open source so other programmers can contribute to software development..

Open source is a fantastic idea. Maybe we could have as many people as the Dreambox has writing images.
Then watch the sales go through the roof. No more dumb software with over burdened Chinese engineers trying to get by.
