When will mistakes be corrected?
When will mistakes be corrected?
1. Problem with long recording - if the size of the video file exceeds 4 GB.
The problem is over a year ago and is still unresolved

Admin !!!
You will answer the questions asked and when bugs in the firmware are fixed. (Bugs in the firmware for over a year)
One more problem.
I add one more problem associated with Hellobox 8 NEW version (in standby mode, the processor remains under full load)

This problem is present in the firmware
202001027A
20201217A
20210121A
I checked some options with firmware and it turns out if everything is returned to the factory settings and there is no channel. Hellobox 8 NEW standby mode works as it should.
But as the channels are added, the processor does not go into standby mode and remains under full load.
Because of this problem, you have to use firmware 20200904 (this problem is not in the firmware
20200522
20200603
20200630 (Hellobox 8 NEW and Hellobox 8 OLD hangs in standby mode)
20200707

I have Hellobox 8 NEW version. I have been using it for almost a year (already 11 months). I took it because of the support for S2X, T2MI, Multistream and DVBFinder.Shahin sarkar wrote: ↑Thu Feb 18, 2021 10:58 amHello Friend.

Hellobox 8 is a good receiver with its inherent functionality.
Hellobox 8 would be a good product if the software was not lame - there are some bugs in the firmware that the developers need to fix:
1. Long record (PVR) which is more than 4 Gigabytes is cut into parts according to the FAT32 formatting standard and when the second file is created, the record truncates the recording time. This is my testi with the length of the entry in this thread. http://www.freedvb.com/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=18919
2 When using the TIMESHIFT mode, there is a problem if you want to use TIMESHIFT with an encoded channel, it freezes at 00:00:00 time, and when using an uncoded channel, TIMESHIFT works fine.
3. Yes, and a new problem has appeared since the October firmware 202001027A and it is present until the latest firmware 20210209A in the Hellobox 8 NEW version. In Hellobox 8 NEW, in standby mode, the processor does not go into standby mode (~ 0.02W), but remains under full load (~ 0.5W) (with the help of tests, I figured out why this problem appears - on weekends I will try to describe my own tests).
Due to issue 3, I am using September firmware 20200904.
Scam + not using
I use Cccam - there were no problems. Cccam lines on Aliexpress bought everything works fine, I tried Cccam from different free servers and there were no problems.
YouTube doesn't interest me.
I figured out Mytube and M3U Player on my own and they work fine. (simplified playlist format and for each Player its own format)
With VCL ( on PC ) or DVBPlayer on Windows or Android, you can watch 4K channels, but only FULL HD via HDMI

TIMESHIFT needs to be fixed.
Unencrypted Channel: Stars TV works fine.
Encrypted Channel: VOX Music TV it freezes at 00:00:00 time.
I clearly showed you the problem of how TIMESHIFT works with an encrypted and unencrypted channel.

Re: When will mistakes be corrected?
Thanks for the info mate! Other "bug" that i found is when I'm setting my motorized system on diseqc1.2 mode, when I move the dish, the steps are bigger than using other decoders so is difficult to get signal in some sats, specially that ones with poor signaledzus1 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 18, 2021 8:16 pm

Re: When will mistakes be corrected?
Needs to be fixed.
Hellobox 8 NEW in standby mode, the processor does not go into standby mode (~0.02W), but remains at full load (~0.5W)
Firmware up to 20200904
Using firmware 20200904, the standby mode works as it should(~0.02W).
From firmware 202001027A to the latest.
After updating the firmware 202001027A and up to the latest firmware 20210209A in standby mode, the processor does not go into cooling mode (~0.02W), but remains under full load (~0.5W)
My test checks.
To identify the problem for what reason the processor in standby remains under full load(~0.5W):
1. After resetting all parameters to the factory settings, the absence of channels (no channels, no timers), the processor goes into standby mode (~0.02W)
2. When adding several channels, the processor switches to standby mode (~0.02W) correctly, if the timer is not configured.
3 If you add a timer, then the processor does not go into standby mode and remains under full load (~0.5W)
4. Occasionally Hellobox 8 NEW, when switching to standby mode, may freeze in the transition to standby mode as it was on firmware 20200630 (this moment can be understood when, after turning off Hellobox 8 NEW, the channel number remains on the display but does not switch to the current time, in order to restore operability it is necessary to turn from the mains).
According to tests.
It turns out that in update 202001027A and subsequent firmware
some kind of timer was added before Hellobox 8 NEW goes into standby mode, which is somehow connected with adding timers ((once, daily or weekly) and additionally noticed that the time of this timer depends on the number of channels recorded, the more channels the more time the timer has ) which does not allow Hellobox 8 NEW to go into the correct standby mode with a load (~ 0.02W) and the processor remains under full load (~ 0.5W)
The question for the programmers.
Is what kind of timer has been added since firmware 202001027A after pressing the shutdown button (switch to standby mode)?
P.S.
If necessary, I can add a screen of the board section with an electronic key, which is responsible for the standby mode. The whole problem is not in the electrical circuit, but a purely software flaw.
The background image has been replaced and the text has been tweaked to the firmware using HelloMenu GUI V1.3
